There is much to recommend our city in its spectacular coastal setting to the the tourist. Scenery, salt and freshwater sport fishing, kayaking, walking trails, whale and grizzly bear watching (in season), flightseeing and golf are some of the activities open to you.

Native history, art and culture are presented in our first class Museum of Northern BC. The historical development of the salt water fishing can be explored at the North Pacific Cannery Museum. Prince Rupert also has a thriving performing and visual arts community and the friendly multicultural population makes us a relaxing and memorable place to vist and stay awhile.

A word about the weather, we are a coastal community surrounded by Canada’s northern rainforest, consequently one should expect some rain during one’s stay.
